Archibald - Au Lit !

« À 8 h et demi, Maman a terminé l'histoire du soir. Au lit mon Archibald , m'a-t-elle dit en m'embrassant. J'ai répondu oui, oui, Maman chérie et j'ai sorti mon train. »
Telle est l'entrée en matière d'une histoire que nous conte Archibald. 9h, 10h, 11h, puis minuit... Jusqu'à 4 h du matin, Papa, Maman et Mamina tentent chacun à leur tour de convaincre Archibald qu'il est l'heure de dormir. Chacun déploie sa tendre ruse, sa technique infaillible, sa théorie implacable. Mais tous terminent, au petit matin, endormis dans des coins improbables de la maison, tandis qu'Archibald, toujours debout, doit les border avant d'aller se coucher paisiblement dans le lit vide de ses parents...

I answered yes, yes, Mom dear and I took out my train. » This is the beginning of a story that Archibald tells us. 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, then midnight... Until 4am, Dad, Mom and Mamina each take turns trying to convince Archibald that it's time to sleep. Each one deploys his tender ruse, his infallible technique, his implacable theory. But they all end up, in the early morning, asleep in improbable corners of the house, while Archibald, still standing, has to tuck them in before going to bed peacefully in his parents' empty bed...
